Cosh boy: A gang of teenage delinguents, led by Roy, is earning money by mugging women on the streets of London. The police catch up with them and at their hearing, the judge sentences them to a youth club to reform their ways. The boys use the club as the base for their growing operation.

Time is my enemy: Radley is a small-time crook, believed to be dead, who returns to his wife after a long absence to find her remarried to a wealthy publisher. When Radley kills a jeweler in a robbery, he is blackmailed by his partner, so in turn Radley blackmails his wife.

Time lock: A South Yorkshire bank employee's young son is accidentally sealed in a bank vault with a 63-hour time lock. The vault cannot be opened manually and with less than ten hours of oxygen left inside the safe, it becomes a race to save the boy.

The interrupted journey: After reconsidering eloping with another woman at the last minute, John North pulls the emergency brake on the train he is traveling on and returns home to his wife. Later on, after the train crashes and many of the passengers end up dying including his mistress, John becomes a suspect when the police discover that she had been murdered prior to the crash.

The vicious circle: Dr. Howard Latimer receives a telephone call apparently from his movie mogul friend, asking him to pick up film star Frieda Veldon at the airport and drive her to her hotel. A few days later, he arrives at his flat only to find Frieda's dead body. The police are called in and now he must solve the mystery himself in order to prove his innocence.
